12/31 and John is out grooming. About 6 to 12 inches of new snow and still falling. Lodge is open. At 6 pm we welcome all to a early pot luck New Years Party. UPDATE: John is doing his best to hit all trails but so far Mother Nature is winning. The snow keeps falling. Near white out conditions at VS.
Everyone is working hard to get trails open.Top of the Morning Skiers, Groomers out Tuesday 12/30 at RRSKI Trail. Classic Loops A & S1 return to Loop B Stride & Glide are tracked. Skate Lanes are closed with deep snow many trees down. This Bomb Cyclone has parts of the trails impassable. This weather event was Good ,Bad and Ugly.Good deep snow, Bad with heavy winds, Ugly with at least 60 trees down just in the loops we could get to. Snowshoe loop has deep snow just waiting for you to break out those new Christmas snowshoes, for the best route go west on the Tot loop out to the Rapid River Rapids. Enjoy
