Alger County Girl Scouts heading out on the Snowman Snow Shoe Trail.

Take a quiet stroll through the woods and enjoy the beauty that Valley Spur has to offer.

Our popular snowshoe trail, the “Snowman” is a 1.8 mile loop of moderate difficulty. The course is challenging at times, and it helps to have crampon style (teeth on bottom) snowshoes. If you prefer traditional wooden snowshoes, that’s OK however you might find it a struggle on some of the steep ups and downs.  We also have a easier trail the start located right of the start of B Trail, following the single track mountain bike trail until it meets up with the Snowman Trail.   The Charge for the snow shoe pass is $3.00 and we do have snow shoes to rent for $2.

Trail maps are available on line and in the lodge.
