Our partners Munising Bay Trail Network are having their annual raffle to raise money to build single track mountain bike trails. As you may know this is the group who has built the single tracks at Valley Spur. Did you notice you can win a Annual Valley Spur membership? Our annual 4th of July raffle is a great yearly fundraiser for our organization. MBTN usually starts selling tickets in March but the majority of sales come on the 4th of July when we walk the streets during the parade and set up our booth at the park during the day and our community, their families, tourists, etc. pull out some cash and support us. As you all know, Munisings 4th of July typical celebration has been canceled. We are asking for your continued support by purchasing a raffle ticket(,or tickets) by personally messaging us or mailing a check payable to MBTN, PO Box 164, Munising, Mi 49862 with your name, address, phone number and we will enter you. Please share this post and/or tell a friend. Thank you in advance!

Friends of Valley Spur are following NTN's lead and ending the grooming of the ski trails at Valley Spur. It was a great ski season. Take care all. This is where we unfortunately have to tell you that grooming is being deemed not essential under the Governor's Stay Home order. We are sending our grooming crew out to clean everything up tonight before the order goes into effect so it will be a great day tomorrow! To our local trail users, pease enjoy it and make the most of it. Staff and board members are continuing to advocate at the state level to allow our local trail organizations to groom and if something changes we will let you know. Hard thaw-freeze cycles in the next few weeks may render the trails impassable and limit our outdoor social distancing options. With feet of snow on the ground it will be many weeks before trails are usable for other activities which is different than other areas of the state. If you have concerns, please voice them to Governor Gretchen Whitmer 's office and with our U.P. legislators.
